Off to CandyLand he Goes

This post is previewing one of the men's items that will be available at the Month of Games which runs from July 12th to July 31st.
 Being shown here is 69 Park Ave's Candy Land set featuring jacket, knee length shorts, hat, shoes, socks, and a cane in a fabulous blend of colours that really evokes the feeling of a carnival.

The model is my partner Demo Revere wearing his Aeros skin....and wow, I just LOVE those skins on men. The detail is amazing. Hair is by EMO-tions, and eyes by IKON.

Miss.Scarlet was not the only dangerous Femme Fatale at Clue Mansion that dark and stormy night. Mrs. White had her own reasons for doing Mr.Reginald Boddy in. Maybe Dangerous

Doing a bit of a catch-up on Zibska from various places about the grid with a mix and match.
First up is Sylv, a pants and top set available at Rhapsody. The sleeveless top is a rich animal print velvet and has a HUD that allows you to choose from several colours. The pants are three quarter length velvet with contrasting stripes in varying shades of lightness, and a black belt. The set also has a faux mohawk in metal (not shown)

Added part of the Posey set with the necklace and crown in black to give that edgey look with it's multitude of spikes (there is also a dress that comes with the set). This is also available at Rhapsody. Next was the one shoulder pauldron from the Antheia set. Lastly of the Zibska items is this crossline eyeshadow in Sangue.

Leather and Metal

Recently ~ghee~ held a competition for new bloggers, and I was lucky enough to be among the chosen. I say lucky, as ~ghee~ has been one of my favourite shops since discovering them at FFL last year. This post features this really very sexy (it is très revealing at the both the back and front, much more so than appears in the photos) shredded leather dress. It comes in 3 colours: magenta, teal, and black.

First up I had wanted to style it very upper class très chic call-girl look with heels and hat. But I really could not find the right hair, and I can't draw in hair to save myself.
So had a rethink and decided on this really fabulous abstract headpiece/hat from Zibska that compliments the dress with it's geometric lines. It is part of a set with a collar as well and has a colour change HUD. Threw on my favourite boots from r2 A/D/E and added this bright coloured hair from a new-to-me hair designer called Spellbound. Jewellery is some of my go-to favourites from Amorous.

Zibska @ FFL

Wanted to get a couple of Zibska's FFL outfits blogged before it closes in 2 hours or so. As this is a rushed post I won't go into much descriptive detail. Sorry. Both outfits are fabulous with lots of colour options. The jacket and shorts have a semi oriental feel to them, while the dress has an almost 60's look.

Summer Sun

Over here in Australia it is Winter, so I love that it is Summer in the northern hemisphere and SL is full of bright, summery clothes. Makes me feel less cold and winter doldrummish.
ghee at the moment has a Summer Hunt on that is 21 pieces for 10L each. There is pants, skirts, several tops, a dress, and even some bangles included in the hunt, and they are all in either white, black or a lovely floral mix of yellow/white/black. Perfect for mix/matching. Just love the floral pieces especially!
My choice for this look was the white drape top over cigarette leg floral pants, with bangles for both wrists.

 Finesmith's Late Bloomer "Bleeding Sun" necklace and ring were just perfect as partners with the fabulous bright yellow flowers. This is part of a much larger set available in the store. Bag is also by Finesmith and is part of the excellent Recolor Hunt at the store. The really super feet wraps are "Kiele" by Zibska (just adore these!) available at FFL for just 1 more day. The come with a HUD that has 27!! colour choices.

Candy Flowers

Sorry for my long absence from blogging. I've had this styling and the pics done for 3 days now, but have been putting off writing as I really wasn't sure what to say.
Not sure that anyone really cares, but it's something I want to talk about. Health. If you suspect that you have something wrong and you aren't being heard by your doctor, change doctors. Seriously cannot express that enough. Same with any specialists. And if either dismiss you or tell you it is all in your head - see a different doctor. And keep doing that until you find one that listens.
I say this because for the last few years I have seen a couple of different doctors and a neurologist that weren't listening, and dismissed my health issues as all in my head. It all came to a head just over 3 months ago when I got very sick. Instead of my usual GP, I saw one of the trainees doing her placement at the Medical practice I go to. Rather than tell me, "hmm not sure what it is", she listened and then did some tests. Maybe because she is still learning she is still interested in finding answers. In the last 3 months I have been diagnosed and treated for h. pylori, had severe heart dysrhythmia that wasn't caused by my heart, but by my gall bladder, had it finally recognised that I don't get enough oxygen ALL the time though my lungs are healthy, and been diagnosed with probable cancer (I see the specialist on Friday). All of this has been present for years, and dismissed as all in my head by previous doctors. Am I out of the woods, not by a long way, in a sense the journey has just begun as finally each symptom is being looked at one by one and is being treated. My health is still very much on the edge and just being functional on a daily basis is still a ways off. But the journey to getting there has begun.

Okay on to SL and blogging clothes :)
One of my absolute favourite designers in SL is Zibska. Her unique visions and use of "added" pieces to give interest really appeal to me. Just like this stunning dress and hat from a new event called "The Instruments". The flowers drifting around this dress give it a look of spring and summer blossoms wafting in the warm breeze. And the hat with it's flowers and overly large "stamens" compliments it beautifully.

The dress also comes with feet straps giving an overall look of a ballerina. To complete the look here I added this striking purple eyeshadow again by Zibska. Long pink hair from [taketomi], and this lovely blue jewellery is part of the Recolor Hunt at Finesmith.
