The Forest

Well after much unnecessary drama I finally got my computer back and working again. That it has taken over 3 months to get it 100% working, while it was still under warranty is beyond ridiculous. But we won't go there...
What I came to tell you about is a fabulous new monthly event called The Forest. It costs 1000L to join the group each month. But you are promised between 17-26 Designers every month. And if it is anything like July, that is an incredible bargain if you would wear/use most of the items. The other good thing is you can get to see what it is you will be getting before committing that 1000L. Personally I was thrilled with this month's offering with 2 full fatpacks of Appliers for Catwa heads, and the stunningly beautiful applier called "Gabriella" from Glam Affair that I am wearing here (also for Catwa). This applier comes in Polar tone only.

Also from The Forest is the lovely mid length slightly wavy hair called "Poca" that I am wearing by Pr!tty. This is also a full fatpack! Crowning the hair as a lovely counterpoint to the tones in my "Heather" dress made by Belle Epoque, and available at The Season's Story, is this gorgeous headdress (another fatpack) also at The Forest, and made by LODE, aptly called "Forest Beauty". Gracing my wrists are the delicate Faelyn bracelets by .random.Matter, again available at The Forest.
The decor is ionic's Stage-house, and Forest Speaker, and Nomad's Bright Headed Mannequins. Both are available at The Forest.

Finalising my look here is this very pretty lipstick from Zibska called Sing, and available at Shiny Shabby. The collar is by Cellar Door, and is called Dune. Swan Lake

When I saw this stunning Feather headdress and collar by Naminoke with it's deeply chiselled feathers, and deliciously jewelled tiara, the first thing that sprung to mind was one of my all time favourite ballets - Swan Lake. Available in black or white at SaNaRae, you really don't want to miss this.

This gorgeously detailed Ballerina dress by Zenith available at Uber almost seems like it was designed to go with the Feather set with it's self coloured flowers and lace body making it a natural choice.
Another absolutely obvious choice is the Reverie leg wraps by fri. and available also at this round of Uber. I mean these fairly scream ballet to me.
The last detail I was to mention is the Mizu arm wraps by Vincue & Kibitz and available in a gacha at The Hentai Fair. I mean these were a no-brainer because they so completely match the leg wraps. The whole set is fabulous, but these arm wraps are unique as far as I can tell from my searches for similar before.

Protected Innocence

I've always had a major love of all things fantasy dating back as long as I can remember. So every month I look forward to the new round of We <3 Role-Play. This month was absolutely NO disappointment at all.
This gorgeous, drapey, one-shoulder dress by Zenith comes with a colour-change HUD for 7 colours making it a great bargain. There is also a fabulously well-fitted leather Shoulder armour/wristguard, again by Zenith, that goes perfectly with it. Both are designed for Maitreya, but I've heard it will fit other avis, so best to try it on.
I teamed that up with these hard wearing solidly made leather boots from Wicca's Wardrobe also at We <3 Role-Play. They also have a colour-change HUD with  5 choices. I chose the plain pack, but there is also a plaid pack.

Another event that caught my eye was The Gacha Garden. Mostly because Glam Affair had a gacha for LOGO head appliers. They have covered most of their skintone range with the gacha. The "Seed of Inspiration" is the most popular tone "Jamaica", so if you are after that one, you will have to play the gacha 20 times (for a total of almost 2000L). But if you are like me and change skintone depending on what else you are wearing, or Jamaica isn't really your tone, this isn't an issue at all. And it REALLY is a lovely face.

Winter Sweet Snow Princess

Been a while since I blogged, had a bunch of stuff happen in RL that kept me away from SL, but I'm back now, so none of that matters. And I'm here to show you a few things not to be missed IMO.

I have a couple of items I really love from Naminoke here.
First is the kimono. This is simply stunning. Quite honestly my photo does not even approach doing this justice. The way it sits, the way it flows rippling behind as you move. Just everything about it is stunning.

Second is the hair sticks, and matching earrings. These are a limited edition from Project Limited. You may think, well they are only really good for wearing with japanese style outfits. Not at all. I've been wearing them around while dressed in a very western, very risqué black leather outfit, with a messy style updo, and they look great with that also. So don't miss these!

The last thing I wanted to mention was my LOGO head. I bought this a little while back during a fleeting visit, and have not regretted it at all. These use either LOGO's own skin, make-up, etc or Omega Advanced. While there really could be more support from designers in the way of skins, and make-ups, there is still a pretty good range out there now.

She likes long walks in the country

With Spring just around the corner, it's a perfect time to stock up on clothes for those not so cold days and head out to enjoy the fresh bloom of nature. If you're on the other side of the world, well this dress would do just as well on one of those cooler days.
This lovely dress by Evie's Closet with it's self patterning in two tones, celtic patterns on the bodice and top of the skirt, and bell sleeves is  such a dress. It's available in 5 colours: Sky, Sand, Lilac (shown here), Gold and Blush. It's available at We <3 Role-Play .

What better to go with a lovely long sweeping dress than a beautiful long sweeping hairstyle? This one by RunAway Design is perfect with it's arched, sweeping fringe that frames the face, small tress of hair that falls over the right shoulder, and the remaining hair being swept across and over the left shoulder, over the left breast to finish just below the waist. It's a super flattering style that is easy adapted for many uses. Also available for 25% off at We <3 Role-Play .

Completing our look here is this beautiful eyeshadow from Zibska, just part of the HUGE offering she has at the Mesh Body Addicts Fair for LeLutka, and TMP mesh heads. Standard system eyeshadows are included in all packs. This lovely delicate necklace/earring set with it's curlicues, and beads really compliments the celtic design on the dress perfectly. And the beaded choker from a different set gives a nice highlight at the neck. Both sets are multi-colour change as we expect with Zibska.

Lamu Cotton Candy

A new preview for one of the exciting fashion that will be presented at The Fantasy Angels Fashion Show, 6th June @ 2pm.
This delightfully delicious outfit looks almost good enough to eat with it's voluminous swathes of "fairy floss" on the arms, and skirt. Done in fabulous shades of bright pinks, and aqua, this outfit can be worn either with the corset as shown, or without, and what is even better is it has appliers for just about any mesh body commonly available.

It also has leg and arm wraps, very cute teddy bears that sit on your shoulders, and lollipops that sit at your hips, all of which can be optional, making this a very versatile outfit indeed.
For the head there is a carousel hat, loaded full of all sorts of delicious sweets. It comes in an animated version, and non-animated.

Climbing the ladder

Bringing you a couple of this month's releases by Zibska.
First is this really versatile, and very lovely dress that can be worn alone, or as I have here with jeans, or other pants. It comes with shoes, necklace, and hat, making it fabulous as both a standalone set, or as individual pieces to wear with other things. There is also this really fun bird ring included with the set. It is only available at The Instruments until May 25th, so you had better hurry!

The other set I wanted to show is the jewellery set available at We <3 Role-Play until May 31st. It consists of a lovely geometric styled necklace, dangly earrings, and cuffs that could be worn with many types of outfits, specially the necklace and earrings. It is of course colour change through a HUD.

Lastly is the jeans by Addams at Kustom9. These are amazing. They fit very well, and have a ton of options through the HUD. Best of all they fit Maitreya, SLINK, and Belleza bodies, as well as the standard avatar body. In all honestly, I wished I could have bought the fatpack.

This fabulous eye catching dark teal and black short sheath dress and oversized matching hat by AZUL are versatile enough to be worn anywhere. They come with a matching picture frame that you can wear and pose with (not shown).

This gorgeous jewellery set by Lazuri just happened to have a colour that was a perfect match for the dress/hat and is also available at Join Hands for Nepal. It is a full set with bracelets, and rings as shown here, necklaces, and earrings (not shown), and comes with a colour change HUD.

Camille - Join Hands for Nepal

On the 13th May a very special event will open for just 3 days. The event is Join Hands for Nepal. I know we are often asked to donate for charity causes, but this one is special. It is to help support the World Food Programme provide food for Nepal, which I am sure you know was totally devastated by a dreadful earthquake that killed over 8000 people, and left 2.8 million Nepalese displaced without ready access to even the most basics like food. And with another quake today, the situation is dire. I don't usually link to other people's blogs, but this is about the best summary of the event, with all relevant links I have found.

AZUL has contributed 3 outfits for the event, this gorgeous, head-turning blue gown named Camille is one of them.
