The Forest

Well after much unnecessary drama I finally got my computer back and working again. That it has taken over 3 months to get it 100% working, while it was still under warranty is beyond ridiculous. But we won't go there...
What I came to tell you about is a fabulous new monthly event called The Forest. It costs 1000L to join the group each month. But you are promised between 17-26 Designers every month. And if it is anything like July, that is an incredible bargain if you would wear/use most of the items. The other good thing is you can get to see what it is you will be getting before committing that 1000L. Personally I was thrilled with this month's offering with 2 full fatpacks of Appliers for Catwa heads, and the stunningly beautiful applier called "Gabriella" from Glam Affair that I am wearing here (also for Catwa). This applier comes in Polar tone only.

Also from The Forest is the lovely mid length slightly wavy hair called "Poca" that I am wearing by Pr!tty. This is also a full fatpack! Crowning the hair as a lovely counterpoint to the tones in my "Heather" dress made by Belle Epoque, and available at The Season's Story, is this gorgeous headdress (another fatpack) also at The Forest, and made by LODE, aptly called "Forest Beauty". Gracing my wrists are the delicate Faelyn bracelets by .random.Matter, again available at The Forest.

Priestess of the Unicorn

The second part of my post on these Unicorns by Half-Deer at The Arcade. This time using them in black.
First item I wanted to mention is this standout "Gabriel" dress from Cila. The one I have on is one of the rares from the gacha at SaNaRae. There is plenty of colours, most of which are commons, so getting the dress itself is easy.
Next up is the Unicorn Head by Enfant Terrible. Another rare from a gacha, this time at The Arcade. There is some great stuff in this machine, so you should be pretty happy even if you don't get the head.

The fabulous hair being worn here is "Leni" by EMO-tions. It is absolutely beautiful with it's very long flowing locks, and flattering forehead braids, and is available at We <3 Role-Play.

I really want to mention this stunning new skin by DeeTaleZ available at Skin Fair called "Kemina" and is for LOGO heads. I'll be doing a feature on the skin itself in another post. Searching

Another post for the J & A Expo, this time featuring Wicca's Wardrobe. I love this Kosmima headpiece by Wicca, mostly because it is so adaptable. You can wear it for so many situations and match it to many outfits and looks with the colour change HUD. When I saw the new Vivian skirt and top also by Wicca's Wardrobe, available at We <3 Role-Play I knew exactly how I wanted to style both the headpiece and the skirt/top.

The Showgirl

I really wanted to blog the very fabulous Andrina jewellery set from Zibska for We <3 Role-Play, but every look I tried just wasn't what I wanted, so it got put on hold a few times while I worked on other stuff. Then I ended up with almost a week in hospital with acute Appendicitis. Coming home, I was sitting browsing Flickr and saw the amazing and beautiful Etoile headdress/mask by Terra d'ombrA and knew that was it. That was the look I was after.

From there everything easily slid into place, it was just a matter of finding the pieces in my inventory. Some were buried treasures like the pasties, and chain belt. Others like this delicious pale Isidora skin from Essences were still brand new this month (I liked the skin so much I even took off the mesh heads I have been wearing since I got back to SL late last year).

Dragon Queen

Like I guess most people I just love dragons. So when I saw this gacha by .AiShA. at Fantasy Gacha Carnival I could not resist. It is called Dragonia, and has 3 colours, plus a gold ultrarare, and has 4 parts, plus rare head and rare legs both of which are colour change through a HUD. The one I am showing is called Drogon, and is a gorgeous red colour with gold accents. The texturing on this is fantastic, it looks like dragon scales.

The skin I am wearing is by Lumae, and is the first of her complete new range of skins. What can I say about this, it is stunning! This one is called Nightwish and is available at We <3 Role-play. (she also has a more human skintone as a group gift). It comes with almost every applier you could need both for body, and head. It also comes with the fabulous elf-ears you see here. The skin doesn't have any make-up so it makes an absolutely fabulous base skin for adding make-up to also.

The eye-shadow I am wearing is by Gret by Zibska, and is available at Uber. Appliers included are Lelutka, Catwa, plus standard tattoo. Personally, I am so pleased she now does Omega appliers so they work with my Logo head.
My hair is a great new group gift by Truth. It is a complete fatpack, and the style is fabulously versatlie.

Protected Innocence

I've always had a major love of all things fantasy dating back as long as I can remember. So every month I look forward to the new round of We <3 Role-Play. This month was absolutely NO disappointment at all.
This gorgeous, drapey, one-shoulder dress by Zenith comes with a colour-change HUD for 7 colours making it a great bargain. There is also a fabulously well-fitted leather Shoulder armour/wristguard, again by Zenith, that goes perfectly with it. Both are designed for Maitreya, but I've heard it will fit other avis, so best to try it on.
I teamed that up with these hard wearing solidly made leather boots from Wicca's Wardrobe also at We <3 Role-Play. They also have a colour-change HUD with  5 choices. I chose the plain pack, but there is also a plaid pack.

Another event that caught my eye was The Gacha Garden. Mostly because Glam Affair had a gacha for LOGO head appliers. They have covered most of their skintone range with the gacha. The "Seed of Inspiration" is the most popular tone "Jamaica", so if you are after that one, you will have to play the gacha 20 times (for a total of almost 2000L). But if you are like me and change skintone depending on what else you are wearing, or Jamaica isn't really your tone, this isn't an issue at all. And it REALLY is a lovely face.

Rusted Angels cannot Fly

Trying to get a couple of quick posts in before We <3 Role-Play closes for August.
This one features EMO-tions. I first came across EMO-tions many, many moons ago when it was mostly clothes for Roleplay. I fell in love with those clothes, and bought many. I was saddened when Mirja all but stopped making clothes to concentrate on Hair, and then Jewellery. So I was absolutely over-joyed to see a new clothing release, in two versions at We <3 Role-Play.

It features a gorgeous very fitted corset in meshed metal, overlaid with metal scrollwork. The peplum is a psuedo-belt. The skirt is long and tattered looking, and is flexi. There is matching armbands, and wristbands, also made of metal scrollwork. And my personal favourite part...the stunning scrollwork wings.

The skin is by Lumae, and was blogged a couple of posts back. Really DO love this skintone.
The skeleton hand/rose head accessory is by DirtyStories, and would be perfect for Halloween coming up. Everything in it is colour-change so it's easy to match to any outfit. The necklace is by Plastik, and is a gacha item at The Fantasy Gacha Carnival. It has a colour change HUD so you can match it to your outfit also.

What if Eve was a Fae

It's been a little while since I've shown the EVE body, mostly due to my computer just not being good enough to show a mesh body off all that well, and also as there has not been enough skin makers that supported it (though both the head and the body support Omega appliers). Personally I love this body, it suits my shape best out of all of them. I also love that it comes in two varieties Slim (shown) and Pulpy (for those that like voluptuousness and curves). Eve also have a head (worn here) available that personally I really like also. I'd love to see more support for this head as it has quite a different look to it than many. The head is still in beta, but don't let that deter you, this is a fully fledged head, just Ginger is still working on it.

Now as I said there is not all that many skin makers that fully support Eve, Lumae is one such maker that not only supports the Eve body, but also the Eve head. Lumae is one of those skin makers that has been around seemingly forever under other brand names, and each huge evolution of her skins sees a rebranding (which I actually quite like). Lumae is her best brand yet, and they are really beautiful skins, with more options than you could ever hope to use as far as applier support goes. This skin shown here is available at We <3 Role-Play.

The dress I am wearing here is really 5 pieces that make up a top, skirt and drape, and is also by Eve. The set is gorgeous, it flows and moves well, and has a ton of colour options. The flowers that flow down the skirt and also adorn the bodice are echoed in a matching headdress that is in two halves, so you can choose to only wear one side rather than the full version. As with the dress it is also colour change. Available as an exclusive at the Mesh Body Addicts Fair, you only have one more day to grab it.

She likes long walks in the country

With Spring just around the corner, it's a perfect time to stock up on clothes for those not so cold days and head out to enjoy the fresh bloom of nature. If you're on the other side of the world, well this dress would do just as well on one of those cooler days.
This lovely dress by Evie's Closet with it's self patterning in two tones, celtic patterns on the bodice and top of the skirt, and bell sleeves is  such a dress. It's available in 5 colours: Sky, Sand, Lilac (shown here), Gold and Blush. It's available at We <3 Role-Play .

What better to go with a lovely long sweeping dress than a beautiful long sweeping hairstyle? This one by RunAway Design is perfect with it's arched, sweeping fringe that frames the face, small tress of hair that falls over the right shoulder, and the remaining hair being swept across and over the left shoulder, over the left breast to finish just below the waist. It's a super flattering style that is easy adapted for many uses. Also available for 25% off at We <3 Role-Play .

Completing our look here is this beautiful eyeshadow from Zibska, just part of the HUGE offering she has at the Mesh Body Addicts Fair for LeLutka, and TMP mesh heads. Standard system eyeshadows are included in all packs. This lovely delicate necklace/earring set with it's curlicues, and beads really compliments the celtic design on the dress perfectly. And the beaded choker from a different set gives a nice highlight at the neck. Both sets are multi-colour change as we expect with Zibska.
