Rugged Up!

There has been so many great events on in January, and I'd loved to have blogged more, but here in Australia it holidays time. Which means most people taking time off work, and lots to do in RL. Here are a few things that caught my eye during the latter parts of January. It seems strange to me to be showing Winter stuff as it is mid Summer over here.
Originally I had a different top and pants I was planning on featuring. But when I went to this latest Uber, this coat by Zenith totally caught my eye. This is something I would wear in RL. I love the sweeping curved front, caught in a button at the shoulder on this lovely draped knitted coat. It's something you could throw on during the cooler days of autumn or spring as a standalone lightweight knit. Specially with the short skirt (colour change through a HUD) that is attached to the coat.

To beat the chill these delightful and playful scarves by Naminoke and available at Wayward Winter featuring bunnies doing different things are just the thing. There is 6 different bunny scarves in 3 colours (pink, black, and white) to be won through the gacha.
Also at Wayward Winter is these thigh high socks by fri. made for mesh bodies. They come in a variety of colours, so I'm sure you can find a match for almost anything you wear. To keep our ears warm, what better than this heavily fringed hat by Azoury available at Shiny Shabby.

Last but totally not at all least is this lipstick by Zibska available at Uber. Which leads to a big announcement that some may not have heard yet which is Zibska, now supports Omega Advanced, so therefore LOGO heads. YAY!!! I love the rich colours and shine of this set of lip glosses by Zib that are able to be worn by all the major head brands, and also non mesh head people (they come as appliers, and tattoos).

Night's Daughter

Like many others, I was reluctant to take up with the mesh heads as I love my own face, I have worked on it over many years, and mesh heads seemed to be a move toward homogeneity rather than individuality. But I bit the bullet mostly because of some of the amazing make-ups being made for mesh, like the eye-shadow by Elymode, and the lips by Mons that I have on here. Going fully mesh though brings another issue....finding that perfect skin that is compatible with both your mesh body, and mesh head. And brings your look closer to your non-mesh look.
One such Lelutka applier/skin is the one I have on here by YS&YS, and available at Shiny Shabby. The skin is gorgeous. I mean seriously lovely, and with an absolute heap of options in make-ups. But..it is expensive. At 1499L for the applier/skin, I had expected it would include other basic appliers for body/hands/feet. It doesn't. So if you also need a Maitreya Lara applier, and maybe SLINK hands/feet appliers, you need to add another 500L. And that is just one skintone. For me, that is just more than I can justify, which is sad as I was going to buy 2 more of the skintones.

As I am showcasing this eye-catching dress by Paper Moon available at The World Goth Fair. The dress is a smart black sheath dress with a striking contrast peplum available in 5 versions and has a colour change HUD. Goth or not, this dress is a great investment for parties/clubs, etc.

I've accessorised it with the very goth flavoured collar by Scrub, some ubiquitous fishnets by Bossie, and these very cool bracers by [sYs].

Climbing the ladder

Bringing you a couple of this month's releases by Zibska.
First is this really versatile, and very lovely dress that can be worn alone, or as I have here with jeans, or other pants. It comes with shoes, necklace, and hat, making it fabulous as both a standalone set, or as individual pieces to wear with other things. There is also this really fun bird ring included with the set. It is only available at The Instruments until May 25th, so you had better hurry!

The other set I wanted to show is the jewellery set available at We <3 Role-Play until May 31st. It consists of a lovely geometric styled necklace, dangly earrings, and cuffs that could be worn with many types of outfits, specially the necklace and earrings. It is of course colour change through a HUD.

Lastly is the jeans by Addams at Kustom9. These are amazing. They fit very well, and have a ton of options through the HUD. Best of all they fit Maitreya, SLINK, and Belleza bodies, as well as the standard avatar body. In all honestly, I wished I could have bought the fatpack.
