Rock chic

Sorry for the prolonged absence, my health totally collapsed late last year and ended up seriously ill for just on three months. But I'm back and just had to share this fabulous look.

Like half the grid I tried desperately to get into Project Limited when it opened on January 17th. I had my sights firmly set on a beautifully ornate Limited Edition leather jacket by Lapointe & Bastchilde. Anyone that has been around the grid and knows designers fairly well knows that Lapointe & Bastchilde is synonymous with quality. Finally got in, and braved the horrible lag and a sim restart to find the jacket. There was a demo, but that didn't seem to be working for the women's version. Ummed and arred for a few minutes whether to take the chance on the $699L pricetag or not. Really was a no brainer in the end given the designers name. The jacket has 3 different "patterns' and also comes with the tank top add-on in 6 "patterns". Sadly though this was limited to just 100 copies and is now sold out.

While there I also came across the cute unicorn horn from Panik that I'm wearing. It comes in a variety of colours, with 3 different metals in a pack. To show off the horn and go with the jacket needed a hair that was short, sassy, and centre-parted. This hair by Tableau Vivant was perfect. A fresh heart and metal style necklace by Amorous completed the top half.

Next was to find a skirt that would give the right feel of glam while keeping in style with the tough look of the jacket. This silver skirt by "r2 A/D/E" was just the thing. Last off was the thigh high boots from Beetlebones. Now I was ready to hit the streets in search of some great music.

Summer Flowers

Well originally I did this post as this pretty dress/socks found their way by accident into the Fashion Limited Blogger group. After asking the creator (because I could not find the outfit at Fashion Limited), I got the reply that it was sent by accident. Not one to waste a photo I have worked on, I'm going ahead with the post.
Summer is a time for long balmy days, gentle winds, and summer flowers. And where better to have your flowers than on your clothes? This sexy, semi baby-doll dress with matching socks from Countdown is perfect for the cooler summer days relaxing with friends. Or going for walks amongst the trees and grass.

Seen here teamed up with hair from Ploom, earrings and bracelets from Lazuri, and tiara from Finesmith it makes a pretty summer addition to any wardrobe.

August Queen

Another break from blogging.....this time due to several reasons, but hopefully the main one - been unable to take any decent photos on the new Firestorm, they all come out blurred - has been resolved. *cross fingers*


I'm bringing you a preview of a jewellery set from Finesmith I just fell in love with at first sight. That it is *pink* and silver had a lot to do with it. This set consists of earrings, tiara/diadem, and bracelet. The bracelet is copyable so you can add it to the other wrist as I have done here if you wish. It is a fabulous mix of delicate - with the wispy silver threads, and bold - with the bright pink "leaves".
Oh and the BEST thing......it is FREE! Yep, this gorgeous set is the new Finesmith Group gift. It will be released Thursday.

Blue for You

Another post featuring I'm Not Your Toy fundraising items. This is a fabulous cause that could really use people getting behind it, if even just for a few $L. The quality of the Designers and their offerings is fabulous!

This Exclusive dress by Amarelo Manga really needs to be seen in life, the camera cannot do it justice. The shade of blue is gorgeous, and the fabric shimmers with a subtle animated texture that brings a lot of class to what could have been an otherwise fairly plain dress. It is worn here with the Hunt shoes, also by Amarelo Manga in a matching blue.

To accesorize, I chose this fabulous Mika jewel set that came with a dress also (not worn here). This set includes necklace, earrings and bracelet by Finesmith. On my head I chose the Timepiece feathers, with Time Trap in aqua hairpieces also by Finesmith. These two pieces match perfectly and make a nice accompaniment with each other.

I'm Not Your Toy!

I was thrilled when I got selected to blog for this really worthwhile campaign "I'm Not Your Toy". In the words of the INYT blog ""I'm Not Your Toy" goal is to raise funds in SecondLife® for RL non-profit associations against child and woman abuse. With the help of SL® designers, models, bloggers and friends who are ready to give their time and talent with nothing to receive just the happiness to know that together we can made a difference in someone life."
This subject is one that has had a personal impact on my life, having been abused as a child, then also as an adult.
I'm Not Your Toy (INYT) will have the first charity event in Second Life® from June 17th to 23rd, and all donations will go to Associação Projecto Criar (http://projectocriar.blogspot.pt/).

Today I will showcase 4 of the items available for INYT over 2 separate posts.
First up is this really gorgeous jumpsuit by Ghee that is offered as an exclusive for INYT. I literally lived in this for 4 days when as I was about to take photos of it, just about everything that could go wrong in SL did.
This is soooooo colourful and summery, really brightens up a summers day, or adds cheer to those of us stuck in Southern hemisphere winters. The bright, vibrant aqua, meshes perfectly with the orange scarf making this great for beach or anywhere.

The second is another bright offering, a very sexy, vibrant singlet, and skirt ensemble. The various candy colours in a sort of mock tie-die pattern give this Hunt outfit from AFI Designs a very summery feel. And the outline daisy on the top adds a touch of whimsy. This really is one of those go-to outfits when you want a quick throw on for some sun fun.

I have been very surprised over the quality of the items available in this event. They really are Must-haves for the season. And you are supporting a great cause as well.

La Traviata

As seems to be usual with me it is a space between posts. It's never intentional, just a lot of other things get in the way. I'
Today I am wearing this absolutely stunningly gorgeous gown and jewels set from Chop Zuey, and only available at Fashion Limited! There is only 100 copies of this at HALF price, so run, run, run and grab it. The included jewellery alone is worth the cost.
In a delicate shade of Ivory, draped and wrapped around the body and ending in a mermaid skirt, this gown will turn heads wherever you go.

The long opera-length gloves ending in jewel encrusted cuffs, and a matching jewel encrusted sash give the gown a luxurious, priceless look.

The sash can be removed so the gown can also be worn for a slightly "formal" look, which then also shows off the lovely necklace included in the set. There is also matching bracelets and earrings. Which of course can be worn alone with other outfits. Chop Zuey have opened a Sky Shop where they are selling other very lovely gown/jewellery ensembles for that complete look.
